The scouts have returned interesting news - a battered barge washed up in the Whispering Cove with a few survivors. They risked the otherworldly sea to escape the marauding Picts who razed several towns and villages in the northern region of Avalon. I don't know these people and the last thing I need is potential trouble, but these sad refugees look useful at least. Most of them are skilled craftsmen with families - and they are clearly not in the position to be choosy about a new master.
