Main Missions in King Arthur: Knight's Tale are the main campaign missions related to the storyline of King Arthur. There are unlike Side Missions that are not necessary to progress in the game. Players will be tasked with one main objective followed by a series of other objectives while playing through the mission during a series of events. Here, NPCs can be encountered as enemies or allies and players will have a chance to recruit adventures and knights to the roundtable. Completing a quest also grants various rewards that can aid the player throughout their journey. These rewards are random except for the gold amount. King Arthur: Knight's Tale Main Missions
Act 1 - A New Camelot
"The Lady of the Lake has brought back King Arthur's nemesis, Sir Mordred. Was it the right choice for her to do so? Or will the nightmare and chaos begin to engulf the mystical land of Avalon?"
Among the Ruins
"The nearby Kingstone is plundered by a marauder knight. Kingstone! What a regal name for a mudhole. Anyway, the village belongs to the throne and I must teach these brigands a harsh lesson about boundaries. Also, I will need plenty of masons, woodcutters, and laborers to restore Camelot to its former glory."
Bridge of Sorrow
"The Bridge of Sorrow spans the chasm that separates these woods from the shore where I'm hoping to find the trail of Arthur. The castle that is guarding the passage is about to fall in the battle against the creatures of darkness that threaten Camelot. I must protect the fortress before it's too late. There is also some brotherly rivalry going on between the heirs, so this is shaping up to be an interesting undertaking again."
The Cursed Ship
"The ship that brought the dying Arthur to Avalon sailed to the Whispering Cove, but a terrible storm arose and that was the last time anyone heard of the Once and Future King. We need to locate the ship first, then the king. Sir Balin tells me that the area is infested with the living dead."
Heart of Midnight
"This place used to be the sacred lake of the Lady, now it is the Heart of Midnight. The Lady of the Lake tried to heal Arthur back to life here, but he turned into darkness incarnated. I must destroy the king and fulfil my destiny."
Act 2 - The Pict Menace
The Besieged Castle
"The Lady of the Lake told me to wait for guidance from a queen I killed to find my way to the shards of Arthur's soul. Her annoyingly cryptic remark alluded to Queen Guinevere, of course, so I wasn't that surprised when I received a message from Queen Guinevere... by a raven that could talk. Guinevere is under siege. If I help her, I will get that promised guidance."
"One of King Arthur's soul shards has been embedded in the suffering Fisher King, the lord of the Wasteland. I must defeat him, but his castle is too heavily guarded. Luckily, Lady Guinevere has managed to lure him out and set up a meeting with him in a ruined castle. That will be the place where I'll strike."
"After the failed attempt to kill the Fisher King, Lady Guinevere suggested that we should find Arthur's legendary sword, the Excalibur, in Avalon, that we might destroy the monster. It's supposed to be guarded by Percivale. It's not surprising. Of course, it is noble Percivale. As she promised, Guinevere found out where he is now, in the Monastery of the Sacred Heart. I must find him and get him to give me that sword."
The Witch Queen
"The only man who could be capable of restoring the Excalibur is a mysterious Sidhe, a blacksmith who works with magic This Artificer, as he is called, is presently held captive in a Pict camp as a servant to none other than Morgawse... my mother. The last time I saw her, she was the Witch Queen of Orkney, who also found her way to Avalon. We were never in the best of terms, so this will be an interesting quest."
The Fisher King
"I had the Excalibur reforged to strike down the Fisher King and destroy Arthur's twisted soul fragment embedded in his tortured flesh. He doesn't leave Castle Corbenic anymore , so that's where I will confront him. I have no intention to play a siege to the fort, though. I'll leave such grandiose gestures to other knights. Lady Guinevere knows about a secret entrance that leads straight to the heart of the castle. This could be out best chance."
Act 3 - Secrets of the Sidhe
Into the Deepwood
"I must enter the Deepwood, the impenetrable forest of the Sidhe. First I need to find a guide to take me in. There is an abandoned village on the brink o the magical woods. Local legends tell met hat it might be the entrance to the twilight realm. I am supposed to find the Faerie Knight there, a Seelie warrior who chose to live a human life. He could be my perfect guide."
Beyond the Veil
"Now the gate to the Deepwood has been opened, I should continue my journey into the mystical forest of the Sidhe. The next fragment of Arthur's soul is somewhere there, hiding in that murky, verdant hell. I still didn't give up on finding the Faerie Knight and ask him to teach me about the Seelie and the Unseelie"
The Seelie Court
"If I want to enter the Heart of the Deepwood, I must undertake two rites of admission, First in the Seelie Court, which is, as most things about the Sidhe, hard to describe. The Seelie Court is an as[ct of the Sidge, associated with summer and fire, and its also a place, hidden somewhere in the Deepwood. This is where I need to find their ancient crystal of light. "
The Unseelie Court
"In order to open the path to the center of the Deepwood, we must undertake the ritual of the Unseelie Court as well. The Unseelie is the more evidently cruel aspect of the Sidhe, winter and darkness and jagged edges, which suggests that a challenging trial is ahead of us."
Heart of the Deepwood
"The time has come to face Arthur's other soul fragment, hidden in the Heart of the Deepwood, the most sacred and terrifying sanctuary of the Sidhe in Avalon. I wonder what shape and form my old enemy will take this time, but I'm ready to destroy his twisted nightmare-self... again."
Act 4 - Invasion of the Fomorians
"The Fomorians are returning. The banished monsters and demigods from he ancient age of Avalon are wreaking havoc among our settlements. This must be connected to Arthur's last shard somehow. Refugees are talking about mysterious knight leading the otherworldly armies. I must find this knight. He certainly knows about the fragment."
"The Picts are rallying around. mysterious knight, who might be the last fragment of King Arthur's soul. The relentless Christian knights of the Order of Seraphim left no stone unturned until they uncovered the location of this gathering. we have no time to lose. We must attack as soon as possible."
"Every decision I made, every step I took has led to me to the gate to the unknown. I must enter a place where the void of the beyond is wearing away this realm. This is where the final battle with Arthur awaits me. This is where I will save Avalon."
