A blue-tattooed messenger of a Pict tribe arrived in Camelot with an unusual offer. The chieftain of the tribe was visited in a dream by the ghost of his long-dead grandfather, who asked him to make peace with Camelot. These savages are proud and they want to see the prowess of my champions with their own eyes. If I send a knight who defeats the chieftain in a duel, he will seal the peace between our peoples with appropriate gifts, and they will no longer take up arms against my kingdom. The messages smelled like an obvious trap at first. Still, the emissary remains in my court as a hostage until the chosen champion returns. Perhaps the offer is worth my consideration after all.
