Minstrel in Distress is an Event in King Arthur: Knight's Tale. Completing these events can yield special bonuses and rewards and the choices you make will ultimately affect certain features like the Morality Chart and the loyalty for the heroes that have joined the Round Table, some choices grants bonuses and some have consequences.

 

Dinas Powys stood as a stronghold in Wales, Britannia, until it was ransacked by the Romans of Eboracum, who horribly tortured and crucified the survivors of the onslaught. As a dark twist of faith, this accursed place also exist in Avalon, but even our knights prefer to give it a wide berth, so the vacant ruins were soon claimed by a renegade Pict tribe. Recently they have abducted a legendary bard, forcing him to sing at their barbarian feast, called the Curadmir. Seems like a proper knightly challenge to free the bard in one piece.

 

How to Discover the Minstrel in Distress Event

A player must meet these conditions in order to trigger this event:

Minstrel in Distress Event Choices

This event will expire after completing 3 missions regardless if it's a main or side mission after it's been available.

  • Settle the matter with a duel between a knight and the Pict chieftain. Your chosen Hero will be unavailable for 1 Mission(s).
  • Settle the matter with a war of words between a knight and the Pict chieftain. Your chosen Hero will be unavailable for 1 Mission(s).
  • Invite the Pict chieftain to hunt, the one who ends up with the bigger trophy, wins. Your chosen Hero will be unavailable for 1 Mission(s).

After completing 1 Mission(s), the deployed hero will return. The outcome of this chained event are as follows:

Choosing Lady Guinevere:

  • Welcome the bard's presence. This adds +40% XP to Lady Guinevere, as well as increase her loyalty by 2. Adds the Round Table upgrade: Minstrel. (Requires 500 Gold)
  • Decline the bard. This adds +40% XP to Lady Guinevere, as well as increase her loyalty by 2.

      Duel requires a Champion or presumably a Defender to succeed.
      War of words requires a Sage or presumably an Arcanist to succeed.
      Hunt requires a Vanguard or presumably a Marksman to succeed.

      In case of success hero gets 40%XP and +2 Loyalty. Also there's an option to hire the minstrel for 500 gold. If hired, the Minstrel increases loyalty of all the female heroes in the court by 2.
