Main Mission Introduction

"Now the gate to the Deepwood has been opened, I should continue my journey into the mystical forest of the Sidhe. The next fragment of Arthur's soul is somewhere there, hiding in that murky, verdant hell. I still didn't give up on finding the Faerie Knight and ask him to teach me about the Seelie and the Unseelie"

Main Mission Completed Description

"I was searching for the Faerie Knight, but I found his old rival, Sir Gawain instead. However, the pathway to the mystical Deepwood has been opened, and that's what matters."

Beyond the Veil Main Mission Objectives

• The Faerie Knight must survive
• Select a gate
• Find and close the portals (5)

• Bone Totem: Destroy the Attackers (3)

Events that occur during the Main Mission, Beyond the Veil.

Faerie Knight or Sir Gawain: Choose which hero should join your Round Table.

Select a Gate

This mission begins at the crossroads in the middle of the map. You will begin with a dialogue with the Faerie Knight. Clear all five gates in any other to able to finish the mission. Listed below are the gate locations.

• Hall of the Knights (South)
• Pict Wasteland (Southwest)
• Ancient Roman Tombs (Norheast)
• Ransacked Village (North)
• Valley of Silence (South) 

 

Find and Close the Portals

Hall of the Knights

This gate is directly south on the map. In this gate you will be greeted by Wymer the Wolf. Complete the dialogue and begin combat. You will be going against a handful of Elite Guards. Begin aggressively and since they are close by, you can can target those closest to you and clear Wymer the Wolf first with a number of melee strikes. As you take your actions, you can also begin to position your heroes to eventually surround them and close the distance between you and their ranged character the Crossbowman. Use your ranged attacks to simultaneously clear the crossbowmna and continue your strikes until the room is clear then continue moving on to the next room, which will be further south of the map.

In this next room you will face Morcant the Gray, Rasgor the Brute and Harold the Stoneheart along with a cluster of elite guards. Begin with clearing the front line and work your way using mainly melee attacks as they approach until the second room is cleared. there. wil lthen be a Crystal portal just behind the altar for you to interact with and this will take you back to the center of the crossroads. 

 

Pict Wasteland

If you head towards the southwest gate  you will come across a cluster of Pict enemies and begin combat after a short dialogue. This will consistof mainly a set of basic Pict enemies with basic stats. Clear the area and a Fomorian giant will appear along with the portal. You can immediately interact with the portal and this will close it and bring you back to choose another gate. If you miss anything, you can always return to this area later on.

 

Ancient Roman Tombs

Take the Northeast gate to encounter a Henchman of Sir Durwald by the campfire. This will initiate a dialogue and will eventually prompt you with two dialogue responses that alighn with different moralities. 

After asking to rest at their campfire: 

"Of course you can. But please don't take our food. Sir Durwald would punish is." 

•  (Tyrant) Now that you mention it.. I'll take what I want.
•  (Rightful) We won't touch your supplies, I promise. 

After this dialogue, you may leave and approach the Ancient Roman Tombs where Sir Durwald will be. Deepnding on your interaction, sSir Durwald and his men may escort you through the tombs and you could avoid combat. He will then also join you in combat against any other Lost enemies you encounter within the tomb. Insist you need to go deeper in the catacombs and express no interest in the treasure to achieve this result. 

 

Ransacked Village

The North gate will lead to a ransacked village. Keep walking to find Onyx the Beast. It will hae the summon wisp ability and wil l have higher stats than a regular enemy, but it will be the only one you have to clear for this battle. As you walk around this gate area, you may come across a villager, which will initiate another battle. 

• Protect the Villager

There are a few other combat area to come across within the gate, one in particular will prompt a diaugle from the Faerie Knight. Clearing this one will reveal the portal within the combat zone. Since this gate area is one of the larger locations on the map, you may have to encounter a few battles before the portal is reveal. The location of the portal is marled below on the map with the objective marker flag. 

 

Valley of Silence

Depending on the order you went, this could be the last gate located directly southwest. As soon as you enter the area, there will be a body holding a scroll to loot. In this area, you may also encounter a Bone Totem where you will be given an option to risk interacting with it in exchange for loot. Choosing to interact with it will spawn a Lost Squire, Revenant and Lost Knight. You will need to clear three waves of opponents.

• Destroy the attackers (Wave x3)

Head further south to reach the Friary of the Speechless Knights, This is where they will reveal a number of Bone Totems in the area, which you will need to prioritize clearing. Clear all Bone Totems in the area then clear the combat to be able to reach the portal.

Finish Mission

Choosing to finish the mission will trigger an event where you will have to make a decision. Here you will be given the option to choose either the Faerie Knight or Sir Gawain to join your Round Table.
