The Return of the White Knight is a Side Mission in King Arthur: Knight's Tale. The Return of the White Knight is a unique side mission that can be unlocked after you reach a certain level of morality or completing certain events and it is not tied to any act. It can be located at Monastery of the Sacred Heart. The main objective for this mission is to find the White Knight and help him close the rift. Completing this mission may unlock Events such as Song of Damnation. Side Mission Introduction

"A monk in Camelot told me about a shrine in the wilderness, where a Christian saint was laid to rest, the first who was ever allowed to enter Avalon. The Christians consider the bones of this saint to be sacred, the focus of their faith in this otherworldly island. When grave danger looms, the mystical White Knight, appears at the shrine. We are undoubtedly in grave danger and the White Knight is here. We should take a look at him."

"The White Knight is here again, This devoted Christian warrior was indeed the first of his faith to enter Avalon and since then he's been fighting for the Christians here. I believe that we need his help now more than ever."

Events that occur during the Side Mission, The Return of the White Knight.

Meet the White Knight

  • Brother Alberic must survive
  • The White Knight must survive
  • Destroy the attackers (Wave 3/3)

Once you start the mission, the monk who asked for your help, Brother Alberic, will meet up with you and explain the situation. Follow him and on the next room, you will meet the White Knight, then enemies will spawn in the room, this will be your first battle and you will fight alongside the White Knight and Brother Alberic. The enemies are composed of the Toxic Dead, Lost Commoners and a Banshee in the other room. There area two other rooms where the enemies can come in, you can use the narrow hallway to set traps or snipe them down with your ranged heroes. After defeating the enemies, the White Knight explains that you need to close the Rift, the gateway to hell, it can be found somewhere deep within this tomb. After your short conversation, he will temporarily join your party for the rest of the mission.

  • Destroy the attackers (Wave 3/3)

Brother Alberic will stay behind, now make your way down south, a rift will open and enemies will spawn from the ground. This will initiate combat. Eliminate the enemies in the area, then the White Knight will explain that this was worse than he imagined, he says that the spell wasn't the rift, but instead it was a man and his soul serves as the gate.

Kill the Dark Soul

  • Destroy the attackers (Wave 2/2)

A quest marker will appear on your map, it will be located at the south-east corner indicating the location of the Dark Soul. As you make your way down south, another group of enemies will spawn from the rift. The enemies are positioned in front of your heroes and they're grouped up together very closely with each other, you can use an AoE skill like Sir Ector's Fire Blast to take advantage of your first turn. Eliminate the enemies in the area and continue heading down south, you will come across a campfire to rest if needed just before you enter the room where the quest marker is located.

Once you reach the quest marker, Dark Soul can be seen inside. After the dialogue, the battle will begin. You will fight against the Dark Soul along with other Lost enemies spawning in the area from the rift. Defeat the Dark Soul and the rest of the enemies in the area, once you're done you can finish the mission or choose to explore the area. The White Knight will then officially join your Knights of the Round Table after this mission.
