The Protector is a Side Mission in King Arthur: Knight's Tale. The Protector is a unique side mission that can be unlocked after you reach a certain level of morality or completing certain events and it is not tied to any act. It can be located at Well of Connia. The main objective is to find the mysterious knight and save the village. Completing this mission may unlock events such as Bloody Equinox. Side Mission Introduction
"I have received an interesting message from a small village no one has ever heard of. Its asking for our help to defeat the faeries of the words that steal the women and dwells at lengths on the wonderful qualities of a knight who is trying to defend them alone. How could I say no to such a request? Moreover, this knight could be one of us."
Side Mission Completed Description
"I wanted to protect a helpless village and in return I found Sir Lancelot. Hard-headed, righteous Lancelot, the sworn enemy of the Unseelie Sidhe was gravely injured during his solitary fight against the. raiders from the Deepwood. Together we put and end to the menace and he offered his services to me,"

Events that occur during the Side Mission, The Protector.

Meet Sir Lancelot
- Kill the enemies before reinforcement arrives (2 turns)
You will have 2 turns to clear the first battle before reinforcement arrives. Otherwise, more will come and you can clear the battle including the new opponents as they approach to continue. Complete the battle to speak to Giselle. Your next objective point location will be revealed on the map close by. Follow the direction of the arrow on the minimap.
Approach the objective point to find Sir Lancelot and he will join you. This interaction will unlock a number of objectives. Speak to Giselle to unlock her side objectives.

To complete Giselle's objectives, head directly south from her location to locate Agatha the Healer. This will also initiate a combat. Teon the Hunter must be protected during this battle. Take one of your heroes to a better position in order to clear the crystal gate and prevent more enemies formm entering the arena. With this number of enemies in the area you can also use an attack with an AoE to maximize damage and hit multiple targets to slowly deplete enemy HP. Bring your heroes forward for better strike positioning. Get through the combat to complete the objective. Both objectives are located southwest on the map.
Free the Captives
This objective is the point marked northwest on the map. Enter the area to initiate a battle and there will be captives bound in bone cages. This arena is smaller so it'll be easier to reposition and approach with minimal action. Clear the enemies in the area then you are free to release the captives from the cages. Loot the are before you leave. There should be a chest, a barrel and lootable body.
Defeat the Unseelie
This objective is located southwest of the map where there is a balefire. A cutscene will begin and another combat will bein. The Unseelie will appear on the other side of the balefire so you may start with your ranged attacks before you push in and advance towards them. You can also wait for them to come towards you since they cannot push all at once. From there you can use the ballfire as a choke point while they approach. Do keep in mind that you will need to send one hero to towards te crystal gate so that the battle does not extend. Continue clearing the location. This will allow you to complete the mission.
