Side Mission Introduction

"The Order of Seraphim sent word of a strange village in the swampland which has huge importance for the Old faith, The settlement remained untouched by the doom that followed the Storm. Judging by the enormous magical powers surrounding the area, the knights suspect this might be the gathering place of the Blackthorn Coucil. We sill see about that."

Side Mission Completed Description

"We have defeated the gathering of the Blackthorn Council. The leader of the Old Faith gathering, Morgana le Fey, has managed to escape though. The Order of the Seraphim is on her tail: I'm certain that they will find that enchantress soon."

Events that occur during the Side Mission, The Blackthorn Council.

Find the Seraphin Spy 

This quest begins with a dialogue with Initiate Godwin. Your objective will be to find a spy. Starting at the southwest corner, make your make your way to the plank bridge directly north towards the Forgotten village and you will face a small battle against a set of Blackthorn enemies as you begin to cross. Approach them with your turns. 

Clear the battle and continue forward, a dialogue will initiate when you come across a set of bodies on the floor.  A villager will emerge and you will have a new side objective added to the mission. Clear the battle and protect the villager, this time you'll be facing a set of Seelie warriors. They will approach from two entrances and come in two waves.

• Protect the Villager (2) 

Take two heroes to focus on each side and use AoE attacks to maximize damage cnd clear multiple targets at once until they are cleared and the villager and speak again. 

Go to the Mother's Tree

This objective will be marked on the map. Open the map to view the exact location of your objective marked with a flag. You can also follow the arrow on your minimap. 

You will encounter the py again towards the center of your map. He will set up a barricade and another fight will be initiated. A focus idol will also appear. Clear the fight and Godwin will tell you all about the idols and will suggest you clenase them. This will prompt a new objective. 

• Cleanse the Focus Idols (10)

Search the area to locate 9 other idols that look the same. You may encounter additional areas of combat that may contain more than one idol in the area. When you have cleared the area, move towards the objective marker to go to the Mother's Tree. You will be met with another battle here. 

Deploy your heroes. You can spread them ou tso that some are positioned to the other side of the tree. Move your available heroes forward to deliver Strike damage and since a number of enemies have their back turned, use this opportunity to take advantage of their positioning and deliver a backstab. Make sure to take a hero forward towards the Crystal gate to prevent more enemies from entering the field. Once the last enemy in the field has been cleared, the Mission can be finished. Before you exit area, there should also be another Focus idol to cleanse allowing you to further complete this side objective. Loot the area and search for any missing focus idols. Any remaining chests will also be marked on your map if you want to search this location before you go. When you are finished, select 'Finish Mission.'
